My Z06 came with an aftermarket lower shift box and shifter, and it has always been not smooth to shift. I even installed a Hurst upper shifter, but the lower was still bad. I cleaned out and greased the shift bar in lower box, but still the same.
I decided to go with MGW flat stick red short throw with white ball, the best full kit available for my Z06.
The install was very straight forward and I just watched the install videos on my phone. There is a huge difference with the
short smooth shifts. Also looks cool.
I highly recommend this full kit as an upgrade and it’s worth every penny.

New ride for 2019
2004 Z06 Torch Red!!!
Sold the C3 75Vette and moved back into a C5. Much more room and HP!
The C5 Z06 is set up for track and autocross from the factory. This is the best bang for your buck $$$ for autocross.
When I bought this Z06 it only had 55K miles and was in very good shape. The old owner has done some modifications and upgrades that I will enjoy. New C6 ZR1 black red line rims and I upgraded to Toyo R888R wheels! Borla Stinger dual exhaust system was on the Z06, and I had to replace both Cats and added X-Pipe to improve the system.
Matt at GP Tuner did a great job tuning the Z06 to 377 RWHP! Made a huge difference at my first AutoX event.
I did a major interior upgrade, pulled out interior and added sound Matt and heat shield from firewall to trunk. This has made a huge difference and no heat issues.
Nice touch was a upgraded double din stereo with backup camera. I had to connect the Bluetooth and now phone works.
There is a speed bleeding kit installed and it takes minutes to flush out clutch fluid.
I upgraded brake Hawk pads and changed all fluids with Amsoil products.
LED head lights and switch back DRL’s have been added to Z06.
This Z06 is a very competitive AutoX car and I’m improving my times. I hope to be within the top times of the day very soon.
